Circular economy

Reuse of packaging

We translate sustainable development into everyday logistics operations. In line with circular economy principles, we aim to extend the useful life of packaging materials while maintaining the proper protection of transported products.

Selected durable shipping cartons are reused when their condition allows the shipment to be prepared safely. This helps reduce paper waste and limits the demand for new packaging materials.

Reuse Less waste Extended life cycle Safe delivery

Responsibility from source to delivery

For AKU GLOBAL, a responsible supply chain includes the origin of the raw material, batch traceability, the availability of documentation and the way each product is prepared for transport.

AKU GLOBAL Offer

Shea Butter (Karite)

Comprehensive application in cosmetics and the food industry

Shea butter is a versatile plant-based lipid with a unique fatty acid profile. Depending on its botanical origin, harvesting region, and whether it undergoes refining, this raw material gains distinct physicochemical properties that determine its wide market application.

West African vs. East African Nilotica

The performance profile of shea butter varies depending on the African region where the shea fruits are harvested.

Classic Shea Butter West Africa

Sourced from the Vitellaria paradoxa variety. It features a higher content of stearic acid, giving it a hard, solid consistency at room temperature. It possesses strong occlusive, structure-forming, and protective properties.

Nilotica Shea Butter East Africa

A rare, luxury variety sourced from Vitellaria nilotica trees, primarily in Uganda and Sudan. It contains more oleic acid, resulting in a soft, fluffy, and creamy texture. It spreads easily on the skin and is highly valued in lightweight cosmetic formulations.

Unrefined vs. Refined

Unrefined Butter Raw

Extracted using mechanical methods. It retains its natural scent, beige color, and characteristic raw material profile. It forms the baseline for many natural cosmetics, artisanal products, and pure beauty skin care lines.

Refined Butter Purified

Subjected to purification processes that neutralize the natural scent and color of the raw material. It features a neutral profile, making it easier to use in formulations where the butter must not alter the scent or taste of the final product.

Application in Cosmetics

Lipid Barrier Reconstruction

Shea butter is used in skincare formulations as an emollient to help reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL).

Dry Skin Care

It is widely utilized in preparations designed to care for dry, rough skin that requires protection against excessive moisture loss.

Application Versatility

Classic shea butter is ideal for rich creams, body butters, lip balms, and soaps. The Nilotica variety performs exceptionally well in light emulsions, face care cosmetics, and hair products.

Application in the Food Industry

Only shea butter with the appropriate technical specification and declared food-grade status should be used in food production.

Cocoa Butter Equivalent (CBE)

Suitable variants of shea butter can be used as a component of fats in the production of chocolates, pralines, coatings, and other confectionery products.

Confectionery Fat Base

It can serve as an ingredient in fats used for the production of margarines, decorative creams, fillings, and nut spreads.

Plant-Based Formulations

Shea butter can be utilized when developing select recipes based entirely on plant-derived fats.

KNOWLEDGE & COOPERATION

Frequently Asked Questions

Check the most important information regarding shea butter, vegetable oils, essential oils, cocoa products, and B2B order fulfillment.

Where can I buy wholesale shea butter for manufacturing?

At AKU GLOBAL, you can order shea butter designed for professional cosmetic applications and, in the case of suitable variants, food-grade applications. We offer classic West African shea butter and the soft East African Nilotica variety. Availability of variants, packaging, and order sizes are confirmed individually.

What is the difference between Nilotica shea butter and classic shea butter?

Classic West African shea butter is typically harder and more solid, making it an excellent structure-forming ingredient in lotions, lip balms, and protective creams. East African Nilotica shea butter has a softer, creamier texture and spreads more easily on the skin. It is frequently chosen for premium cosmetics, face products, and lightweight skincare formulations.

How do I choose between refined and unrefined shea butter?

Unrefined butter retains its natural color, scent, and characteristic raw profile, which is why it is preferred for natural cosmetics. Refined butter has a more neutral sensory profile, making it easier to use in recipes where the raw material must not impact the color or fragrance composition of the finished product.

Can shea butter be used in the food industry?

In the food industry, only raw materials with the appropriate technical specification and food-grade designation may be used. Refined shea butter can be utilized as a component in selected confectionery fats, creams, coatings, and other recipes. Suitability must always be evaluated based on the documentation of the specific product as well as applicable technological and legal requirements.

What documents will I receive with the raw material?

The scope of documentation depends on the type and batch of the raw material. It may include a technical specification, Certificate of Analysis (CoA), Safety Data Sheet (SDS), INCI composition data, physicochemical parameters, origin details, and declared intent of use. It is best to specify your required documents when submitting an inquiry.

Is it possible to order a smaller batch of raw material?

We serve both emerging artisanal workshops and larger industrial manufacturers. The minimum order quantity (MOQ) depends on the product, available packaging, batch size, and delivery terms. Send us your expected volume, and we will check the available options.

What vegetable oils are in your offer?

Our offer includes selected cold-pressed and refined oils for professional use. The availability of a specific oil depends on our current portfolio and sourcing possibilities. During selection, we consider the intended use, fatty acid profile, scent, color, stability, and production process requirements.

Are the offered essential oils pure?

We offer essential oils with parameters defined in the specification of the given product. They can be extracted via steam distillation, cold-pressing, or other appropriate methods. Information regarding composition, purity, origin, and extraction methods must be confirmed case-by-case in the product's documentation.

Do you deliver raw materials outside of Poland?

Yes, we fulfill delivery requests within Poland and to selected European countries. Transport conditions, minimum order quantities, costs, and delivery times depend on the type of raw material, packaging, volume, and destination.

Can you source a raw material upon custom request?

Yes, we can verify the possibility of sourcing raw materials outside of our core portfolio. We cooperate with a wide network of producers, growers, and pressing plants, including specialized oil mills. To start the verification, please send us the name of the raw material, specification, expected volume, application, and preferred origin.

How do I submit an unbinding inquiry?

Contact us by phone at +48 537 266 610 or write to us via email. Please provide the name of the raw material, application, expected quantity, required documentation, packaging type, and delivery location. Based on this, we will check availability and prepare a B2B offer.

Do you work directly with producers and oil mills?

Yes, we continuously develop our cooperation with producers, growers, and pressing plants, such as Guru Nanak Oil Mills Uganda Ltd. This allows us to search for raw materials with specific origins, processing methods, and parameters. Details regarding the manufacturer and source are shared within the scope of the specific product and commercial agreements.
